Happy October 3, 2024
WELCOME TO THE DISCOUNTED SHORT STORIES BOOKS PAGE OF TERRIFY YOUR TABLET 2024
As soon as the clocks roll into the early morning hours of Oct 3, we're opening the gates and allowing the ghosts and ghouls to roam! We hope your tablets are ready!
This Year's Charity
In 2023, Horrorsmith Publishing's Terrify Your Tablet event was able to earn over $1500 for fellow horror author Sammy Scott, who was diagnosed with stage 4 bile duct cancer last year. During this year's planning, we asked if anyone knew of a similar charity event, and until the last few days, we had not received any suggestions.
However, Hurricane Helene has changed that. Hurricane Helene decimated a large amount of Florida and North Carolina and parts of Tennessee. There are still missing residents, entire cities wiped from the map, houses still underwater, and millions of dollars of loss.
In 2022, Lyndsey Smith, CEO and Acquisitions Editor of Horrorsmith Publishing, moved from North Carolina, where her husband was stationed, to the Pacific Northwest, so this area is very near and dear to her heart. But a couple of our vendors, like horror coffee company Indigo Coffee, still has offices there. Its owners have been displaced, along with thousands of others.
This is our way of giving back, our way of putting one more drop in the bucket to go toward services and supplies to help get these Americans back on their feet after such a horrible disaster. All donations will go to those organizations with boots on the ground, helping with much needed services and supplies.
